New York Reform Group:
Westchester County Executive Contest is Bellwether Race
Will "Put Incumbents Everywhere on Notice"

White Plains, NY--Sept. 23...New York State's leading fiscal reform
group today called this year's contest for Westchester county executive
the "bellwether race" in New York State.
In a fundraising letter sent to its members and supporters today, New
Yorkers for Growth writes:
"If New York State is going to change its ways, it must begin in
Westchester where taxes are highest. The symbolism of this race is
enormous.
"It will tell incumbents everywhere one of two things:
1. Voters have had it, so change your ways now; or
2. Keep doing the same things; what you're hearing is all bark and no
bite."
Westchester County was just ranked--for the second consecutive year--the
highest taxed county in America.
